Sydnie Corey • Psychology Student
ABOUT ME
I am a student at Utah Valley University, set to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in the fall of 2026. Driven by my interests in employee wellness and performance, I plan to pursue graduate studies and earn a PhD with an emphasis in organizational psychology. I am an active member of the Neuroscience Club and contribute to research on memory and learning under the guidance of Dr. Acacia Overono. I hope to continue exploring motivation, performance, well-being, and interpersonal relationships in the workplace as I prepare for graduate school. Graduate Studies: is a PhD worth it?
Goals
Thanks to my husband’s last 8 years at Qualtrics as a software engineer, I have had the unexpected opportunity to observe the corporate world through a unique lens. Through my interactions with many individuals I’ve met over the years in various different roles, I have been inspired to use my natural ability for introspection and relationships to help employees feel happy, included, and valued in the workplace.
An individual’s career often makes up a majority of one’s lifetime; it’s imperative that a healthy relationship with work is established and maintained.
I am excited to continue my education where I can receive mentorship and guidance on how to use data and research to apply psychological principles in the workplace.
